Created learning activities for middle and high school students on DocsTeach, such as “Assimilation of American Indians.”

Wrote blog post to highlight the section of the student workbook Putting the Bill of Rights to the Test that I helped create.

Co-wrote a chapter in the National Council for Social Studies book Teaching the College, Career, and Civic Life (C3) Framework: Exploring Inquiry Based Instruction in the Social Studies.

Co-wrote article “Is Baseball Essential ?: World War I and the National Pastime” for Social Education.

Developed and taught teacher workshops (links to PDF) incorporating documents from the holdings of the National Archives.

Archives & Libraries

Updated North Central College Archives collection on ArchivesSpace to follow best practices.

Developed workflows for preservation of born-digital materials in North Central College Archives, including the implementation of Preservica.

Developed content for The Century of Progress International Exposition LibGuide at the Ryerson & Burnham Libraries at the Art Institute of Chicago.

History Projects

Created eBook, Baseball: The National Pastime in the National Archives, with colleagues.

Partnered with the Forest Preserve District of DuPage County to digitize records, upload to Historypin, and develop a workshop to help teachers learn about the origins of the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC), a New Deal program, and the lasting impact in our community
